Many people get excited when they quote the promise, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17. However, many fail to make the connection of why the arrows of the enemy are rendered ineffective.
🌸
I surmise it is in the latter portion of the verse, which speaks of a righteousness that is not based on our right doing, but instead grounded in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Friends, it's the righteousness by faith that makes us untouchable and is at the heart of activating this promise. We must believe we have no righteousness of our own and humbly accept the righteousness of our Savior. We have no merit, but all that He is has been reckoned to our account. Isn't that beautiful? It is His sacrifice that makes the impossible— possible!

Revelation 12v11 says, “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” Have you ever noticed the order of the words. It's intentional, the importance is on what Christ has done, and then what He has done in and through us.
🌸
We ring in the month of August with an affirmation that is as essential to the Christian faith. “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” The apostle Paul spoke of the importance of the Gospel being our firm foundation and went onto say, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”Romans 1:17. This is often forgotten, that the “righteous”shall live by faith.” It's an awareness of our righteousness in Him that gives us the boldness to live as Christ did.
🌸
So today, declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Oh, come on... say it “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” The enemy is brought low when we declare the truth with confidence. His power has been stripped away when Jesus went to the cross and rose from the dead and now we are reminding ourselves and him of just how efficacious the blood of Jesus is. In doing so, we walk in the fullness of Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” because the accusor has been vanquished.
🌸
If we indeed we desire to walk as Christ walked, we must say what Christ says. Therefore, we must know Who Christ is to gain revelation of the inheritance purchased by His blood. Friends, this is a phenomenal truth. Relish it! We live fearlessly when we declare biblical truths. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
