Appropriate The Blood of Jesus through Our Confession

Hi Friends,

I apologize the monthly post is delayed, and I want to offer my sincerest apologies.  I've been hard-pressed on what to write and didn't have a release until this past weekend after attending church.  It was a glorious sermon from Pastor Jentezen.

It was a word of confirmation and admonishment so much that I had to go back because he mentioned the blood of Jesus, and quite frankly, I haven't been able to let that go.  There's nothing more loving than giving people Jesus and discipling them on the finished work of Christ so that we may live cross-forward in all; He has accomplished for us.

I ended up going back to a sermon given by Pastor Derek Prince, and I was astonished by the revelation given. He reminds us that it is our confession that is so important. So what are we saying?  Are we speaking the abundant life that we receive through the blood of Jesus, or are we speaking death because we are caught up in our emotions? It's up to us, beloved, to choose Christ and His finished work every time.  This is how we apply the blood of Jesus over the doorpost of our lives, and it is through our confession that we remain impenetrable to the destroyer.

I rarely share a link to sermons, but I love you and, in doing so, feel it is my responsibility to share this fantastic revelation.  Please make time to listen to and be strengthened. Sermon: How To Apply The Blood of Jesus

This post is an important overview of what I learned through the message, and I pray it will bless you!

I am convinced there is nothing more significant than the blood of Jesus, for it is the very blood of God, Himself. Oh, just saying it; that makes hell shake.  The omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God gave Himself for us.  No wonder the enemy hates humanity.  He did not give himself for the angels that rebelled, but God made a covenant with us through the death of His Son that whosoever places their faith in Christ alone will experience peace with God and become a partaker of the eternal life of God (2 Peter 1v4), Himself. Glory🙌🏾.

The blood of Jesus did what nothing else could do, bring eternal Salvation to sinful man.  It also makes us a new creation in Christ. Don't miss that‼️ Being born again isn't a work of the flesh, but being born of the Spirit (John 3v6), the very Spirit of the Living God. Everything changes, friends, when we become the children of God.

We have the DNA of God because God is Spirit.  Let that sink in, and then may we press forward to possess our possession - Christ and all that He Is.   The word says, " as he is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4v17). Two things to note, first it doesn't say that "we are as He was," which would have been good enough because He went about healing and delivering people oppresses of the devil." (Acts 10v38). No, it says, "as he is" meaning right now as Christ is, ruling and reigning in power above all principalities, authorities.

Second, notice this is not a promise activated when we arrive in Heaven. There's no sin, trials, hardship, or devil in heaven. My friends, this is for the here and now. Because of what the blood of Jesus has accomplished, we have access to "much more" “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.”John 14v12.

We look at seven key truths concerning the blood of Jesus. I admonish us to cling to them through our confession that we would overcome.

“We overcome Satan when we testify personally to what the word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us” - Derek Prince

“And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].” Revelation 12v11.

Redemption 🩸

“In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,”

Ephesians 1v7

“But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.”

1 Peter 1v19

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary,”

Psalm 107v2.

Our Confession: “Through the blood of Jesus, I have been redeemed out of the hand if the devil.”

Cleansing 🩸

“But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].” 1 John 1v7.

Our Confession: “Since, I walk in the light, blood of Jesus cleanses me now, and continually from all sin.”

Justification 🩸

“Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.” Romans 5v9.

Our Confession: “Through the blood of Jesus, I am justified, acquitted, made righteous, reckoned righteous, just as if  I’d never sinned.”

Sanctification 🩸

“Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city's] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God].” Hebrews 13v12.

“For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness.”

Hebrews 12v10.

Our Confession: “Through the blood of Jesus, I am sanctified, made holy, set apart unto God, separated from sin, made holy with God’s holiness.”

Life 🩸

“For the life (the animal soul) is in the blood, and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life [which it represents]. [Rom. 3:24-26.]”

Leviticus 17v11.

“And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].”

John 6v53.

“He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.”

John 6v54.

“For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.”John 6v55.

“The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord's Supper] upon which we ask [God's] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that in eating it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the body of Christ?” 1 Corinthians 10v16.

“For we [no matter how] numerous we are, are one body, because we all partake of the one Bread [the One Whom the communion bread represents].” 1 Corinthians 10v17.

Our Confession:  “Lord Jesus, when I receive Your body and the blood, in it I receive Your resurrection life, the very life of God - divine, eternal, endless life.”

Intercession 🩸

“And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]. [Gen. 4:10.]” Hebrews 12v24.

Our Confession: “Abba Father, even when I cannot pray, I Thank You, Jesus is interceding for me in heaven and His blood speaks better things.”

Access 🩸

“Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus, By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,” Hebrews 10v19-20.

Our Confession: “Thank You, Lord, through the sprinkled blood of Jesus, I have access into Your presence, the Holy of Holies.”

Finally, it's one thing to know it and even hide it in your heart.  It is quite another to appropriate it.  Dear friends, let's apply the Blood of Jesus to our lives daily through our confession of faith in the blood and what He has accomplished!
