Happy December, Beloved!!
It's been a minute since I've posted because my husband and I were blessed with an opportunity to visit family between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I was thinking in our hotel room that it's pretty incredible that we are coming to the end of another year, right? I can't believe we are in the last month of 2022. I'm so grateful God has seen us through another day, week, month, and now with power, authority, and by His marvelous grace, we will finish this year victorious; Hallelujah!!
It's the time of year many have the opportunity to spend time with family and enjoy the company of friends. I am grateful many abound in the richness of relationships. However, I would be remiss to overlook the many others entering this season, having suffered the loss of a loved one, relationship, or job, or afflicted with physical, mental, or emotional pain. I know for my family, this will be the first year without my grandma Marjorie; that, coupled with living far from family, is a tender spot for me.
If you are walking through a difficult season, something that continues to help me is the truth that I am known by God, and friend, be comforted; He sees you as well. You are precious to Him. Even when we cannot feel Him, He is here with us. I am here to encourage you to keep believing and trusting in the One who came for us because He deeply cares about you. I pray this word will fill you with hope in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Beloved, I have found whether in the valley or on the mountaintop, God is present, willing, and able to enter our situation and be exactly what we need. We know this because He has given us the greatest Gift in His Son.
Before the world came into existence ~ God. The all-powerful, all-sufficient, all-knowing, present One decided before the foundation of the world; His plan of Salvation. He could have orchestrated it another way, but He didn't! He, the Creator of the universe, sent His only Son, the Son He loves (John 3v16), to bring us into a relationship with Him for eternity.
Out of His love and sheer kindness towards us, the Son of God condescended, taking on the likeness of human flesh, the only Child born to die so that many would live. And the life we have in Him is not one of mediocrity, but one lived in the fullness of all He Is. He is the Child born King, and in Him we indeed have everything!
As we welcome December, let's make room for Him for what He wants to do this season. I pray we remain expectant because He has brought tidings of great joy, and that's not all; He is coming again. Therefore, it is my hope throughout December for us to delight ourselves in God's lovingkindness as we embark on a journey of the most extraordinary story ever told.
Remember, as the world prepares for the holiday season, we have the privilege of knowing the reason for the season. We carry the Good News of God's extravagant goodness, kindness, faithfulness, and His grace that has come through our Lord Jesus. Therefore, we seize every opportunity to share our hope in Him.
